Bulk Dried Fruits

Bulk Dried Fruits

Dried fruit is fruit from which the majority of the original water content has been removed either naturally, through sun drying, or the use of specialized dryers or dehydrators. Dried fruit has a long tradition of service dating back to the fourth millennium BC in Mesopotamia, and is prized because of its sweet taste, nutritional value, and long shelf life. Dehydrated (dried) fruits are a great way to maintain one’s recommended daily fruit intake. They are convenient to store, less prone to mold or rot, and available all year round. Today, dried fruit consumption is spread. Nearly half of the dried fruits sold are raisins, followed by dates, prunes, figs, apricots, peaches, apples, and pears.
